Critters

And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!" Revelation 5:13

Several years ago we raised an abandoned fawn named Bambi (of course!) When we brought him home we put him in with the baby goats so he wouldn't be lonely. Big mistake! They were so active and he wanted to lay still (like he had been taught by mama). So goats being like they are, they chewed on his ears. Even after he grew up and went to join some other deer in the woods we could tell it was him by his peculiar ear notches! Here he is giving me a big kiss!
Rooster, hens, and lambs from a few years ago. As you can see we like variety!
Our two dogs, Deux and Scooter racing through the yard!
Me checking on the turkeys and ducks.
Here's the noisy geese! I never understood the phrase loose as a goose until I had them! Boy, are they ever messy! The little goatie in the picture was our only one to ever visit a chiropractor (was he surprised!) She got under David when he was climbing the fence and he stepped right on her back. The vet just gave us painkillers, but decided to stop at the chiropractors on the way home and he came out to the van and adjusted her and she was able to get up and walk again! She was kind of bent funny, but she got around and out of fences better than any of the others!
Baby raccoons we raised.
Simba having a snooze on our bed. The quilt on the bed was made by my mom. And the one that the cat is snuggling with was made by Dale's grandmother. Even though he looks very lazy here he is a very good hunter! He even scared our friend, Bill silly when he went up the ladder to the hay mow to do chores and the cat pounced on him! Almost made him fall off the ladder! He always made sure to look for the cat after that!
